Contrac Lighting transformed this zero natural lighting space by manufacturing and supplying high-impact, glare-free architectural lighting. The bespoke design integrated into the structural layout to deliver optimal lux levels for athletic performance while eliminating the harsh visual fatigue common in subterranean or windowless fitness facilities.
The Challenge
The space was to be transformed into a new ABS gym, which lacked natural light and therefore required a complete redesign. The lighting scheme needed to achieve appropriate lux levels, uniformity, and lumen output to effectively illuminate the space, while minimising glare and carefully integrating with the existing architectural features.
