Contrac Lighting created a bespoke lighting scheme and manufactured the luminaires for the brand-new Trespass store at Junction 32, Castleford. The design incorporated Trespass’s distinctive triangular shape, ensuring consistency with the lighting concept and visual identity used across other stores within the retail portfolio.
The Challenge
The main challenge was achieving the correct balance between functional and decorative lighting. The store required sufficient illumination to effectively showcase products and create a comfortable shopping environment, while avoiding excessive brightness that could make the space feel harsh or uninviting. Additionally, the triangular pendant fitting needed to integrate seamlessly with the store layout, acting as an attractive design feature without compromising the overall lighting performance.
